Mental Health First Aid

Course Overview
The Mental Health First Aid course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and to provide initial support and guidance. This training empowers individuals to act as a first point of contact for someone experiencing a mental health crisis or distress, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support.
The course covers a wide range of mental health topics, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and stress, as well as more severe conditions such as psychosis and suicidal behaviour. Participants will learn how to listen non-judgementally, offer reassurance, and guide individuals toward professional help. Additionally, the course emphasises the importance of self-care and maintaining personal well-being while supporting others.
Through a mix of theoretical learning, practical exercises, and real-life case studies, the Mental Health First Aid course provides a comprehensive understanding of mental health issues and how to respond effectively in a supportive and compassionate manner. Whether you work in education, healthcare, the workplace, or community settings, this course is invaluable for anyone looking to contribute to the well-being of others.
