The Functional Skills Maths Level 2 course develops advanced practical maths skills, equivalent to GCSE grade 4 (C). It's widely recognised by employers and accepted by universities as an alternative to GCSE Maths.

How long does Functional Skills Maths Level 2 take?
The qualification is around 55 guided learning hours. Tutor-led courses run over 8 live sessions, and self-study learners typically finish within a few weeks, with access for up to four months.
How is Functional Skills Maths Level 2 assessed?
It's assessed by a single exam covering number, measures, shape, space and handling data — there is no coursework. You can sit the exam online via webcam or in person at our Brighton centre, and you'll receive an accredited certificate once you pass.
