At Functional Skills UK, we offer several apprenticeship standards which includes Level 2 Leisure Team Member and Level 3 Leisure Duty Manager.
When completing an apprenticeship, individuals take part in an end point assessment (EPA) where they are then awarded with a Pass or Distinction grade.
At Functional Skills UK we have previously had five Leisure Duty Manager Apprentices, two of which were awarded a Distinction in their work. We also took nine learners through the Leisure Team Manager qualification, where six of the learners were awarded a Distinction grade!
The Level 2 Leisure Team Member apprenticeship standard aims to support learners to develop their ability to work in a team and helps to build their confidence of interacting with customers. An individual in the leisure team member role helps to support, enhance, and deliver day-to-day operations and services within a leisure, fitness facility.
An individual completing the Level 3 Leisure Duty Manager apprenticeship would work to manage the day-to-day operations within a leisure facility and help to promote customer wellbeing throughout the organisation. They can also aid in identifying and developing improvements which could be made within the leisure organisation.
